Capt. Scott Kuhn, a public affairs officer for the Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine speaks to Jim Kulikowksi, Republican Deputy Staff Director for the House Appropriations Committee and Shalanda Young, Democratic Deputy Staff Director for the House Appropriations Committee during a tour of the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, Oct. 10. Kulikowski and Young are touring the IPSC to conduct official oversight of Department of Defense equities to familiarize congressional staffers with the missions, priorities and resource requirements for Ukraine. JMTG-U’s mission is about building sustainable, enduring training capacity and capability within Ukrainian Armed Forces. The Joint Multinational Training Group-Ukraine provides U.S. Soldiers and Special Operations personnel to train Ukraine National Guard units in an ongoing effort to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses.
