Pete Goethel, former USS Samuel Chase Association president, reads the names of fallen comrades from the Samuel Chase in a tribute to deceased members during the memorial service at the Cherry Point chapel, June 8. "With great humility I announce these names," Goethel said. "These names will always hold a place in my heart and will never be forgotten," It was the 29th and final reunion for the association, making the time spent reflecting of their experiences that much more important.
