Gen. Stanley McChrystal (in rear seat of the F/A-18 Hornet), and pilot Cmdr. Rick Crecelius are propelled across the deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier U.S.S. Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) to reach a speed of more than 165 M.P.H. in two seconds before leaving the carrier. The visit is McChrystal's first to the ship and is part of a battlefield circulation. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is forward deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
