Monticello, Ind. resident, Capt. Brian White, and 1st Sgt. Charles Morin, from Auburn, Maine, display their unit's Yellow Banner and Welcome Home plaque upon its return from a deployment to Iraq during a ceremony at Army Support Activity-Dix's B Company, June 17. Their unit, 619th Transportation Company, an Army Reserve organization from Auburn, Maine, conducted a mission where it transported Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, water, mail, tanks, and ammo throughout southern Iraq. It mobilized from Dix last summer. The Yellow Banner is given to units who mobilize through ASA-Dix as a symbolic gesture that they are in the thoughts and well-wishes of the ASA-Dix community. The banner is hung in Infantry Park while the unit is deployed and given back to the organization upon its return from combat.
