Command Sgt. Maj. James Herbert, 72nd Field Artillery Brigade command sergeant major, serves as the guest speaker and gives the commencement speech to the graduates of the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy's Basic Non-Commissioned Officer Course, class 009-10 at Army Support Activity-Dix June 17. He gave his congratulations and offered advice and insight to the graduates. "What we all fundamentally share in this room is our sense of patriotism to serve our nation, its people and our way of life. This commitment you have given must not be measured lightly as our nation is at war and has been for nearly ten years," he said. The graduating class featured 77 Army Reserve and National Guard Soldiers from across the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
