An F/A-18D Hornet piloted by Lt. Col. Daniel Shipley, the commanding officer of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 232, and Maj. Vincent Welch, the weapons system officer, hooks onto the deck pendant stretched between newly-installed arresting engines here, June 30. Two Hornets landed back-to-back to test the new gear.
