Maj. David Wilson (second from right) and Lt. Col. Glenn Danielson (right), both from G3/5, presents the (Curse of the Bambino) to Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino January 6, 2005, inside the Pentagon. Wilson and Danielson created the (curse buster,) which is a Baby Ruth candy bar pierced with a letter opener, the Friday before Game 3 of the 2004 World Series. Lucchino and the World Series trophy (in back) visited service members in Bethesda Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center January 5, 2004, to pay respect to injured veterans. Although he wanted to reach out to the Red Sox fans, he said he also wanted to (tweak a few Yankees fans.)
Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino brought the trophy to the area to show to the recovering veterans at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, Walter Reed Army Medical Center and the Pentagon as an appreciation for all the service members sacrifices.
