A Marine with 2nd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, completes his swim portion of a “run -swim-run” event during the unit’s annual Spartan Games at Camp Lejeune, N.C., Nov. 10, 2016. Marines worked together with their companies to complete the physically strenuous seven-course event in order to enhance their Espirit de Corps, build Spartan family cohesion, and celebrate the 241st birthday of the U.S. Marine Corps. Participants of the games competed in events such as an obstacle course, pugil sticks, a Cross Fit workout, a “run-swim-run” competition, and other trials of endurance.
