A UH-72A Lakota assigned to the 121st Medical Company (Air Ambulance) of the District of Columbia Army National Guard stationed at Fort Belvoir, Va., approaches for a landing at McGuire A.F.B. July 6. The medevac unit is headed to Germany where it will put the new helicopters through the paces of a simulated wartime environment while supporting the Joint Multinational Training Center at Hohenfels. The D.C. guard company is the first Army National Guard unit to receive the new helicopters which will help take the load off the larger, more expensive UH-60 Black Hawk.
