161201-N-AC117-066 YOKOSUKA, Japan (Dec. 1, 2016) Navy Chief of Chaplains, Rear Adm. Margaret G. Kibben, speaks with Cmdr. David S. Yang, Ronald Reagan’s head of religious ministries, on the flight deck of the Navy’s only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). Kibben, the first female two-star chaplain and first female Navy Chief of Chaplains, met with leadership from Reagan Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5 to get a first-hand account of their religious-ministries programs. Ronald Reagan, the flagship of CSG 5, provides a combat-ready force that protects and defends the collective maritime interests of its allies and partners in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
