The Combat Center is currently the test grounds for the Marine Corps newest solar energy experiment. Third Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, based out of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., is currently utilizing solar energy panels to help reduce the need for supplies in the field.
