U.S. Marines assigned to Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force-Crisis Response-Africa, simulate procedures taken when a Marine in their squad is injured during a patrol training exercise at Morón Air Base, Spain, Dec. 5, 2016. The Marines performed squad-level exercises allowing them to rehearse setting up ambushes, immediate action drills, and squad internal communication, setting the stage for Marines to conduct future platoon-level operations. The SPMAGTF is responsible for rapidly responding to broad military operations in order to protect U.S. personnel, and property in its areas of responsibility throughout the African continent.
