MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Jack Holder and Donald Long, both survivors of the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks on Oahu, pose for a photo onboard a boat in Kaneohe Bay near Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Dec. 8, 2016. Holder, a native of Dallas, and Long, a native of Barnum, Minn., were in Hawaii attending the 75th commemoration of the Pearl Harbor attacks. After the ceremonies, the Greatest Generations Foundation provided the survivors with a boat ride on Kaneohe Bay which was affected by the attacks as well. The Greatest Generations Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of veterans by returning them to their former battlegrounds, cemeteries and memorials to ensure that their legacies are recorded and retold in perpetually to future generations.
