MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII – Jack Holder and Donald Long, both survivors of the Dec. 7, 1941 attacks on Oahu, pay their respects by saluting the Pacific War Memorial, located on Marine Corps Base Hawaii on Dec. 8, 2016. Holder, a native of Dallas, and Long, a native of Barnum, Minn., were in Hawaii attending the 75th commemoration of the attacks. After the ceremonies, the Greatest Generations Foundation provided the survivors with a boat ride in Kaneohe Bay which was affected during the attacks. The Greatest Generations Foundation is dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of veterans by returning them to their former battlegrounds, cemeteries and memorials to ensure that their legacies are recorded and retold in perpetually to future generations.
