A camera and laser range finder, part of the counter-unmanned aerial system developed by the team from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, tracks a drone as it flies through the test airspace as part of the 2016 Air Force Research Laboratory Commanders Challenge at the Nevada National Security Site, Las Vegas, NV., Dec. 13, 2016. Teams were given six months to develop a complete counter-unmanned aerial system to aid in base defense. In addition to these devices, Wright-Patterson's system uses an attack drone with attached net for intercepting and retrieving them. (U.S. Air Force photo by Wesley Farnsworth)
