Lance Cpl. Tyler Yoder, Cpl. Nicholas Bloom and Cpl. Eugene Null receive coins from Brig. Gen. Matthew Glavy for a recent “safety win” aboard Marine Corps Air Station New River, N.C., Dec. 16, 2016. A pilot with the squadron recently reported that he was extremely impressed with how the team of tow-crew Marines worked together to tow a CH-53E Super Stallion across a flight line using operational risk management skills to complete the task safely. 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing’s “Safety Win” program focuses on how pilots and maintainers ensure the execution of correct procedures to safely and successfully accomplish the mission. Glavy is the commanding general of 2nd MAW. Yoder, Bloom and Null are airframe mechanics assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Training Squadron 302, Marine Aircaft Group 29, 2nd MAW.
