In the middle of a bloody, simulated torture chamber, Sgt. Stephen Segars, a fire direction control chief, with headquarters troop, 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, takes a DNA sample during the Forensic Material Collection and Exploitation Course held at Fort Bragg by the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, Aug. 12. The course gives soldiers the skills to collect forensic information to take insurgents off the battlefield.
