Staff Sgt. Qunnette McCoy, a Third Army operational law paralegal non-commissioned officer and native of Dadeville, Ala., prepares to raise the American flag during the opening ceremonies of Steppe Eagle 2010, Aug. 16. McCoy, with soldiers from the Kazakh and British armies, presented each of their nations respective colors as part of the ceremonies. Steppe Eagle is an annual, multi-national training exercise designed to improve the participant's inter-operational capabilities. Third Army’s role during this exercise is to provide military decision-making process training to the Kazakh brigade and battalion, thus ensuring the combined forces regional security and shaping the future.
