Kazakh soldiers with the 1st Brigade, 1st Battalion march in formation for a pass and review during the opening ceremonies of Steppe Eagle 2010, Aug. 16. Steppe Eagle is an annual, multi-national training exercise designed to improve the participant's inter-operational capabilities. Third Army’s role during this exercise is to provide military decision-making process training to the Kazakh brigade and battalion, thus ensuring the combined forces regional security and shaping the future.
