Lt. Col. Kurt Schaecher, Ph.D., from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, talks about diseases and illnesses endemic to tropical regions as part of his lecture during the 1st Area Medical Laboratory’s Operational Clinical Infectious Disease Course at the Mallette Training Facility in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland from 10-12 Jan. More than 50 participants from 10 entities benefited from the locally-accredited three-day course and from instructors from various organizations.
