Pfc. Jace Pierce, a mechanic for the 1st Area Medical Laboratory, learns how to use a microscope to evaluate malaria samples during the 1st AML’s Operational Clinical Infectious Disease Course at the Mallette Training Facility in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland from 10-12 Jan. More than 50 participants from 10 entities benefited from the locally-accredited three-day course and from instructors from various organizations.
