Lance Cpl. Andrew M. Lewis, a squad automatic weapon gunner with 2nd Platoon, Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, uses a field compass to determine his location and fields of fire in the defensive position his Platoon is in during the company training segment of Exercise Mountain Warrior 06-10 at Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center Bridgeport, July 22. The goal is to coordinate a 360-degree perimeter where possible every angle can be covered by a Marine with a weapon aimed downrange.
