Soldiers of Company A, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team practice proper handling and reloading of an AKM rifle before firing the weapon as part of instructor standardization training at the International Peacekeeping and Security Center, near Yavoriv, Ukraine, on Jan. 19. The Soldiers of 1st. Bn. 179th Inf. Regt. took part in the training to familiarize themselves with the AKM and PKM weapons systems before partnering with Ukrainian army combat training center staff to mentor Ukrainian units rotating through the IPSC.
