Conference participants observe the realistic, life-like x-ray training station at the Iowa National Guard’s Sustainment Training Center. With fewer distractions, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and interactive, hands-on training using state-of-the-art equipment, the STC features an inimitable educational environment for today’s Army. Approximately 30 members of the U.S. Army’s Total Force – Active Duty, U.S. Army Reserve, and National Guard – met Jan. 18-19, at the Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa, to take part in a Regional Total Army Conference. Officials discussed current issues and how they can help synchronize training efforts to produce stronger, better-trained Soldiers. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Master Sgt. Duff E. McFadden)
