Approximately 30 members of the U.S. Army’s Total Force – Active Duty, U.S. Army Reserve, and National Guard – pose for a picture, after meeting Jan. 18-19, at the Iowa National Guard’s Camp Dodge Joint Maneuver Training Center in Johnston, Iowa, to take part in a Regional Total Army Conference. Officials discussed current issues and how they can help synchronize training efforts to produce stronger, better-trained Soldiers. Participants included Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma National Guard officials, as well as representatives from U.S. Army Reserve units and Active Duty Army officials from the First Army Division West, headquartered at Fort Hood, Texas, and the “Big Red One,” the 1st Infantry Division, headquartered at Fort Riley, Kan.
