Staff Sgt. Mark Reheard, a Marine musician with the 1st Marine Division Band rehearses with his trumpet aboard Camp Leatherneck, Aug. 28. Reheard is one of 12 bandsmen from the 1st Marine Division Band who deployed with the division. The 1st Marine Division Bandsmen have been deploying and providing security for many units since the band was founded in 1940. "I have yet to meet a Marine bandsman who didn’t want to deploy," Reheard said. "A lot of Marine musicians look forward to going to 1st Marine Division just to deploy."
