Kris McFate, mobilization clerk and Roseville, Calif., native with the 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit loosens the bottom straps to remove the new M-50 gas mask during an annual chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense class aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., Aug. 25, 2010. The MEU was the first major subordinate command in the Marine Corps on the east coast to receive the new M-50 gas mask for training.
