The crew of the motor vessel Ocean Giant passes the fuel tanker Maersk Peary as it departs the frozen Antarctic waters, Feb. 1, 2017.

The Ocean Giant departs after successfully delivering supplies to the National Science Foundation’s McMurdo Station, while the Maersk Peary waits for an ice escort to the station by the crew of the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star.
