AT SEA, Indian Ocean (Nov. 30, 2016) U.S. Marines with the Maritime Raid Force, 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit, locate a target on the surface of the ocean during aerial sniper training aboard an MH-60 Seahawk nearby the USS Makin Island (LHD 8), while afloat in the Indian Ocean, Nov. 30. During the sniper shoot, the MRF Marines used an M110 Semi-Automatic Sniper System and M27 Infantry Automatic Rifle; both weapons can be employed for aerial sniper support during maritime interception operations.
