PORT HUENEME, Calif. – Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (NAVFAC EXWC) Technical Director, Kail Macias points out some 3-D printed nozzles being prepared for testing in the Aviation Engine Simulation Facility. The facility is able to reproduce the extreme temperatures and pressures generated by a variety of aircraft for testing of pavement and ship deck materials. Six Senior Executive Service (SES) leaders from the U.S. Naval Research Lab (NRL) visited NAVFAC EXWC, NAVFAC's only Warfare Center, in an effort to increase collaboration between the two organizations.
