Capt. Taylor Zehrung and Capt. Robert Reddy became syllabus complete and trained on the F-35B Lightning II Feb. 24. The two Marines received the patches of their new unit during a patching ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort Feb. 24. The two pilots are the first pilots to be trained on the F-35 straight out of flight school instead of converting from another aircraft system. The Marines will now report to Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 for duty as trained F-35 pilots.
