U.S. Marine 1st Sgt. Brian Anderson shares with his group his experience as a first sergeant and what he has done to become a better leader during the 1st Marine Logistics Group’s First Sergeant Seminar on Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton, Calif., March 13, 2017. The first sergeants and Marines selected to become first sergeants, gathered to discuss their duties, responsibilities, to learn leadership skills, and how to develop professional relationships. During the two-day seminar they discussed the Marine Corps Separations Manual, counseling, legal trends, and force preservation. Anderson is the first sergeant for Motor Transport Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st MLG.
