SAN DIEGO (Mar. 13, 2017) Chief Boatswain’s Mate Jose Salas, assigned to Beachmaster Unit ONE (BMU-1), provides cover against simulated threats during Defense Combat Operations (DCO) training. The DCO course is designed to train Sailors on weapons familiarization, tactical movement, provide security during beach operations, understand basic combat medicine, basic navigation and to extract hostile engagements.
