170310-N-PA840-004 YOKOSUKA, Japan (March 10, 2017) The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Yokosuka Site Sasebo team coordinated one of their largest mail load-offs March 10 supporting USS Carl Vinson during deployed operations. The team was responsible for delivering more than 182 tri-walls of mail to the Strike Group. Tri-walls are large crates that measure 48.5 inches in length, 37.5 inches in height and 41.5 inches in width and weigh on average 275 pounds. A typical Christmas rush averages 120 tri-walls. Site Sasebo is one of 15 NAVSUP FLC Yokosuka postal sites spread out across the Indo-Asia-Pacific region. Pictured is LSSN Laronica Marshall standing on top of tri-walls of mail, provisions and cargo during the USS Carl Vinson load-out.
