Equipment is being assembled in preparation of the Susquehanna River Basin Commission's survey work on Swatara Creek, a tributary of the Susquehanna River in east central Pennsylvania, March 9, 2017. The Commission is collaborating on a project with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, to provide survey data and modeling and mapping information to the Federal Emergency Management Agency Region III that will help FEMA update their flood risk maps. This tool is actually a small boat that carries an Acoustic Doppler Profiler, which uses a sonar beam to measure the depth to the ground under the water surface. (U.S. Army photo by Sarah Gross)
