In the lower left hand corner is an example of grounding in a countermeasure facility. Grounding is one way CAAA protects employees against the dangers of static electricity. The cable is connected from the table to the “ammunition case” in order to eliminate any static present on the case. Not shown is the chain bonding the table to the floor. It is this connection that guides the flow of static from the case to the table to the floor that allows static to be safely expelled from the facility.
