Madden, a Texas City, Texas native, and Galvin, a Houston, Texas native, are both crew chiefs with Company C, 4th Assault Amphibian Battalion. The 4th AAB, a reserve unit based out of Galveston, Texas, is supporting Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force through the unit deployment program.
