Pfc. Patrick Callahan, 1136th Transportation Company, Maine Army National Guard, fills a radio before heading out on a security mission, Oct. 7, at Camp Eggers in Kabul, Afghanistan. Callahan, a guard mount, and other members of the 1136th provide force protection to ensure the safety of more than 3,000 personnel who live and work at Camp Eggers and New Kabul Compound.
