An Army Reserve instructor with Operation Cold Steel works with Pvt. Amanda Hanna before crew-served range qualification during Operation Cold Steel at Fort McCoy, Wis., on March 31, 2017. Hanna is a mechanic assigned to the 366th Engineer Company, based out of Canton, N.Y. The engineer company is assigned to the 412th Theater Engineer Command which provides trained, ready and available Soldiers in support of the Army's mission at home and abroad. Operation Cold Steel is the U.S. Army Reserve’s crew-served weapons qualification and validation exercise to ensure that America’s Army Reserve units and Soldiers are trained and ready to deploy on short-notice and bring combat-ready, lethal firepower in support of the Army and our joint partners anywhere in the world.
