AMU's Action Shooting Team competed in the 2017 U.S. Practical Shooting Assn. (USPSA)'s Multi-Gun Nationals in Las Vegas, Nevada, April 14-16. The three-day match included 14 stages with the Soldiers moving from pistol to rifle to shotgun. With over 290 competitors, the AMU Soldiers had some stiff competition. However, their preparation paid off. Sgt. 1st Class Daniel Horner clenched the title in the 2017 Tactical Optics Division for the fourth consecutive year, and ninth time since 2007. Staff Sgt. Tyler Payne grabbed the first place title in the Heavy Metal Tactical Division for the second consecutive year. Staff Sgt. Joel Turner earned second in the Open Division. And, Staff Sgt. John Browning placed second in the Limited Division. (U.S. Army photo taken by Michelle Lunato/released)
