170420-N-WF272-378 SASEBO, Japan (April 20, 2017) From left, Rear Adm. Marc H. Dalton, commander, Amphibious Force 7th Fleet, Capt. Jeffrey Ward and Capt. Larry McCullen, commanding officer of the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), participate in a cake cutting ceremony following a change of command in the ship's hangar bay. During the ceremony, McCullen relieved Ward as the ship’s commanding officer. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
