Soldiers of Task Force Bastogne keep pace while they race to the finish line during Forward Operating Base Fenty’s version of the Army Ten-Miler in eastern Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province, Oct. 24. U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Danny W. Rainwater of Clarksville, Tenn., 613th Movement Control Team Air Operations non-commissioned officer in charge, 106th Transportation Battalion, Task Force Bastogne, took first place male with a time of 1:1:03. U.S. Air Force Capt. Adrian N. Phillips of San Antonio, a quality assurance representative with the Defense Contract Management Agency, stationed at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, took first place female with a time of 1:13:40. Approximately 200 servicemembers and civilians ran the 10-mile race which shadowed the Army Ten-Miler event in Washington, D.C.
