170502-N-RU971-057 SASEBO, Japan (May 2, 2017) Sailors, assigned to the amphibious assault ship USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), participate in a 1.5-mile run during a physical readiness test (PRT) in Nimitz Park. The PRT is a standard Navy fitness test and is conducted twice a year. Bonhomme Richard, forward-deployed to Sasebo, Japan, is serving forward to provide a rapid-response capability in the event of a regional contingency or natural disaster.
