Brig. Gen. Charles Yriarte, Assistant Adjutant General, Oregon Army National Guard, welcomes Spc. Tony Brassfield, of the 162 Engineer Co., 1249 Engineer Battalion, to Joint Base Lewis McChord, Wash., Oct. 29, after a year-long deployment to Afghanistan. Brassfield, of Portland, Ore., is one of more than 80 Oregon National Guard Engineers to return from Afghanistan, where the unit provided convoy security, route clearance, and infrastructural assistance.
