PACIFIC OCEAN (May 3, 2017) An F/A-18E Super Hornet from the “Kestrels” of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 137 lands on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) as the Ticonderoga-class guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57), left, and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108) transit the western Pacific Ocean. The U.S. Navy has patrolled the Indo-Asia-Pacific routinely for more than 70 years promoting regional peace and security.
