Seaman Daniel Hair, of Moreno Valley, Calif., observes the fleet replenishment oiler USNS Henry J. Kaiser as it sends fuel and pallets of supplies to the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan during an opposed replenishment at sea evolution. Ships conduct an opposed RAS to practice completing replenishments at sea in a wartime scenario with other ships in the same strike group providing perimeter protection. Ronald Reagan and Henry J. Kaiser successfully performed the opposed RAS as part of a Composite Training Unit Exercise. Ronald Reagan is currently underway completing COMPTUEX in preparation for an upcoming deployment.
