Chief Warrant Officer 3 Carlos Morales, a maintenance supervisor with the 110th Support Maintenance Company, Massachusetts Army National Guard, drinks from a water buffalo at Fort Irwin, Calif., on May 3, 2017. During a three-week rotation at the National Training Center, Soldiers from the 110th were called out to a crash site involving a water buffalo which had to be emptied in order to recover the vehicle it was attached to. On a near-100 degree day in the Mojave Desert, Soldiers took advantage of this and used the water to cool down. (U.S. Army National Guard photo by Spc. Tawny Schmit)
