    First Lt. Douglas Livermore, an S-3 operations officer for 4-31st gets stuck while wadding through a canal on the outskirts of Qarghuli Village while U.S. and Iraqi Soldiers searched the area for weapons caches. Soldiers of 4-31st and 4-6th Iraqi Army flew in the night before, on the 41st anniversary of the first ever air assault in the Ia Drang Valley, Vietnam, to search the village for insurgents suspected of hiding out there.
