Pararescuemen assigned to the 58th Rescue Squadron move U.S Rep. Martha McSally during a search and rescue scenario at exercise Angel Thunder 17 in Gila Bend, Ariz., May 13, 2017. Rep. McSally, a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and former A-10 Thunderbolt pilot, participated in the isolated personnel scenario of the exercise. Angel Thunder is a two-week, Air Combat Command-sponsored, joint certified and accredited personnel recovery exercise focused on search and rescue. The exercise is designed to provide training for personnel recovery assets using a variety of scenarios to simulate deployment conditions and contingencies.
