A firefighter from the Virgin Islands Fire Department assists a casualty from a collapse structure in a simulated exercise for Vigilant Guard 17-3, a joint natural disaster response exercise hosted by the VING and U.S. Northern Command, May 16. The exercise provides an opportunity for the US Virgin Islands and the VI Territorial Emergency Management Agency (VITEMA) to improve emergency coordination, response, and recovery management with local, federal, regional, civilian and military partners.
